We invest in training and support to maximise our people’s potential and to help them achieve their career goals. We are committed to our people and have accreditation for ‘Investors in People’.

All our disciplines operate comprehensive annual CPD programmes to help our people stay up-to-speed with the latest thought leadership, innovations and working practices in their chosen profession.

Individual development programmes are developed through our twice annual appraisal and development process and are tailored to the unique needs of the individual. This is further supported by regular one-on-one interaction with Team Leaders and Managers, in which regular two-way feedback and performance and development is discussed.

For graduates we offer programmes to support them in achieving their chartership through a combination of funding programmes at leading universities/colleges and structured hands-on project based training. Chartership is achieved in a supportive and safe learning environment with advice and support from experienced chartered professionals. We encourage graduates to stretch themselves, without having to fear making mistakes.

We are also constantly on the look out for the leaders of tomorrow from within our teams. Nothing gives us greater satisfaction than to promote from within from technical roles to managerial and business development roles. Those who have the desire and aptitude to assume future management positions with our business participate in our leadership management international development programme. To date 35 of our people have been through the programme. Many have used this to make the jump to position of greater responsibility within and outside our firm.

We continue to invest heavily in developing our people’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills and knowledge. We operate an ongoing programme of technical training with leading BIM and REVIT training organisations.
