Frankham Risk Management Services (FRMS) were introduced to Sovereign Network Group, one of the top 10 largest housing associations in the country and a main provider of affordable housing across the south and south-west of England, in late 2022 via the Procurement for Housing Framework.

After presenting our extensive qualifications and accreditations, FRMS were awarded a 1-year contract to deliver Type 3 fire risk assessments throughout the Sovereign Network Group’s portfolio.

We commenced fire risk assessment services in March 2023 and undertook 870 Type 3 fire risk assessments over the subsequent year across Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight. As the contract progressed, the client approached us to assist them with identifying the extent of fire precautions, equipment and fire systems that were present throughout their entire portfolio. They did not hold details for many of their buildings.

We set about designing a programme for their 2,313 buildings and proposed a 52-point checklist to be physically verified in each building. The client approved the approach and gave us a 9-month timescale from July 2023 to complete the project, with a hard deadline set for the end of March 2024.
