Building Safety Survey Programme

Frankham were commissioned to undertake a range of compliance services conducting assessments and compiling information to form the basis of their building safety case report for its 43 blocks, between 11m-18m height and 2 blocks over 18m.

Our primary role for Phoenix was information gathering in terms of identifying building safety risks, advising on risk prevention and protection, and building management systems to BS9997.

The surveys and reports include:

  1. Type 4 fire risk assessment and compartmentation survey.
  2. Fire Door Inspections, both FED’s and Communal Doors.
  3. Measured surveys and creation of 2D floor plans and elevations for buildings between 11m – 18m and a BIM model for buildings over 18m to create a record of the building layout and specific assets within the building relating to structural form and passive and active fire precautions measures.
  4. Fire strategies.
  5. Cladding FRAEW inspections, including inspection of cavities behind the cladding and testing of the cladding materials; and
  6. Structural surveys to confirm the structural principles of the buildings and any associated risks.
