Frankham were appointed to undertake the renewal of the existing flat roof with the IKO Mach Two cold applied system, inclusive of new rooflights. The project also included remedial works to the existing bell tower.

Frankham acted as Contract Administrator, managing progress with the contractor, handling day-to-day queries and producing weekly site reports. We convened, chaired and minuted formal monthly site progress review meetings and dealt with monthly applications for payment from the contractor to produce valuations and payment certification for the client to action.

As Principal Designer, we delivered an overview of the contract and site safety systems including site visits and the oversight, monitoring and Handover documentation.

Frankham provided guidance on the proposed work area but also flagged concerns over the roof installed under phase 1, prior to our involvement. The system did not provide the required upstands to the rooflights and clerestory windows and numerous roof seams were failing. If not rectified, this could cause issues in the future.
