Frankham Consultancy Group agrees with the open letter by the CLC

The Frankham Consultancy Group agrees with the open letter by Andy Mitchell, Co-Chair of the Construction Leadership Council, to the construction industry following the Prime Minister’s announcement about a national lockdown in England.

It was announced construction and manufacturing should continue, and all Frankham Group companies will remain open to support the Government and the industry to keep our economy going.

Since February, the Frankham Consultancy Group has taken a number of steps to identify new risks, implement controls, undertake training and to revise existing arrangements around business continuity.

To ensure the Frankham Consultancy Group operates safely and within the government guidelines, we have produced and carried out a range of risk control measures and management arrangements:

In terms of risk control measures, we have carried out the following:

  • Created a dedicated Virus Management Team.
  • Amended our Generic Site Risk Assessment to incorporate COVID-19.
  • Produced a COVID-19 Risk Minimisation Procedure.
  • Produced a Low-Medium Risk Pre-Site Visit Risk Assessment which is COVID-19 specific.
  • Amended our Pre-Inspection / Survey Checklist to incorporate COVID-19.
  • Undertaken a Water Risk Assessment under the provisions of L8 at Sidcup.
  • Requested all Water Risk Assessment information from our Managing Agents in Oxford, London and Stevenage.
  • Requested the Return to Work Risk Assessments for all communal areas under the management of our Managing Agents in Oxford, London and Stevenage.

In terms of management arrangements, we have carried out the following:

  • Created a dedicated Virus Management Team.
  • Return to Work HR Survey.
  • Created seating plans based on social distancing, one-way systems and other measures.
  • Enhanced our cleaning arrangements through our supply chain.
  • Created a Visitor Questionnaire.
  • Drafted a COVID-19 Policy Statement.
  • Drafted a set of COVID-19 Management Arrangements.
  • Produced a Return to Work Employee Checklist.
  • Undertaken a Return to Work Risk Assessment (for Sidcup, Stevenage and Oxford).
  • Produced a new COVID-19 Employee Induction.
  • Created NHS Test and Trace QR Codes which are displayed in each office.
