APC Success!

Congratulations to Robert Ray who passed his final Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) with the RICS.

Rob has the unique honour of being the first Frankham candidate to have passed the RICS APC as a ‘virtual’ interviewee. This summer, as a result of lockdown, the RICS held its APC interviews using video conferencing software and Rob attended his interview from his home rather than travelling to a hotel venue in London.

“As a whole, I think the online interviews work well and I can’t see how the interview experience would have differed in person” said Rob, but added “I’d rather sit in front of a panel in person rather than online!”.

However, he was fully prepared for his digital experience by a ‘mock’ virtual interview, which was held in May by senior chartered surveyors in Frankham, as a rehearsal for the final assessment.
