Fire safety site inspections.

Our inspection process

Our fire safety site inspectors begin their involvement during the latter stages of the technical design phase and remain a constant, rigorous presence through to practical completion and handover.

RIBA Stage 4 (technical design)

The FSSI begins their involvement early to ensure they have a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of the specific products, materials, and systems that are proposed to be installed within and on the building envelope.

RIBA Stage 5 (manufacturing and construction)

We conduct regular, highly detailed site inspections and witness testing. All site visits are rigorously recorded, and we conduct thorough reviews of the contractor’s photographic record-keeping and installation certification.

RIBA Stage 6 (handover)

The comprehensive suite of evidence is seamlessly incorporated into the final Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals. This ensures the end-user has full confidence that the fire safety elements of the building design have been fully and correctly integrated into the final construction.
