2D and 3D geospatial surveying

Our Geospatial & Modelling Services

We utilise the latest surveying technology, including fixed terrestrial laser scanners, mobile scanning, and drones, to provide a comprehensive suite of 2D and 3D geospatial products. We have extensive experience across a wide range of sectors, from commercial office spaces and public authority buildings to highly sensitive heritage assets.

Measured Building Surveys

We capture the exact dimensions and spatial relationships of your existing building stock, providing the foundational drawings required by your design and engineering teams.

  • 2D Deliverables: Highly accurate Floor Plans, Elevations, and Sections.
  • 3D Models: Delivered in industry-standard CAD or Revit formats.
  • Point Clouds: Delivered in conjunction with a CAD product or as a standalone dataset for your internal teams to utilise.
BIM Ready Surveys

Building Information Modelling (BIM) combines the representation of accurate geospatial data with the management of rich information embedded directly within the model.

  • Tailored Detail & Information: We work with you to determine the exact information required for both the current survey and future development phases.
  • Digital Asset Creation: By utilising highly accurate scanning technology, we create a comprehensive digital database of your asset.
  • Phased Upgrades: Whether you require a full LoD 4 model from the outset, or a lower-detail model initially that can be upgraded post-strip-out, we ensure the most cost-effective and timely solution for your unique project timeline.
Laser Scanning

Laser scanning allows us to accurately and efficiently capture full 3D spatial datasets of any subject, transforming how data is utilised across the project lifecycle.

    • Rapid Data Collection: Capturing millions of data points in minutes minimises on-site disruption and downtime. This is especially practical during ‘small windows of opportunity,’ such as tidal conditions or adverse weather.
    • Health & Safety Benefits: Without the need to physically occupy a measurement point, we can survey hazardous or previously inaccessible areas from safe, remote locations.
    • Future-Proofing the Brief: True colour photographs can be mapped onto the data to enhance realism. By integrating your future requirements early, we can capture a complete dataset during the initial visit.
    • Wide-Ranging Applications: Our point cloud data is utilised for Civil and Structural Engineering, Architectural Design, Volumetric Analysis, Deformation and Erosion Monitoring, Asset Management, and even Crime Scene Analysis.
Rights of Light Modelling

A “right to light” is a valuable easement that gives a landowner the right to receive natural light through defined apertures, increasing a property’s utility, value, and amenity.

  • Precision Data for Specialists: We provide the highly accurate geospatial information from which Rights of Light specialists perform their legal and spatial analysis.
  • Flexible Formats: We produce 3D Solid CAD models, Revit models, or 2D plans and elevations based on detailed terrestrial or drone laser scanning.
  • Data Banking: By slightly extending the extent of our scanning during the initial measured building survey, we can capture sufficient data for Rights of Light analysis without dramatically increasing collection costs.
