Flood Risk Assessments

Frankham Consultancy Group offers a full range of Flood Risk Assessment services, using the very latest guidance and legislation to ensure fully compliant assessments to suit every need. Often used to support planning applications, our FRA’s are meticulously prepared to the most exacting standards by accomplished professionals to ensure compliance with Government planning policies of all levels. This means our experienced Environmental Sustainability Team is able to help everyone from private home-owners to construction companies, and from property developers to local authorities.

We conduct detailed research for each project – scouring historic records, commissioning flood data maps, and scrutinising reports on your behalf. All this is done to ensure that we are able to give you the most detailed and thorough assessment of historic and predicted future flooding at your project. The result is a scientifically robust FRA which defines the flood zone classification, flood risk, sources of flooding and details of any historic flood events for your project.

Frankham Consultancy Group is also able offer BREEAM-Compliant FRA’s compatible with all BREEAM schemes. Each of our Environmental Sustainability Team experts is a registered and experienced BREEAM Assessor, as well as a BRE Academy Associate, ensuring we are always at the forefront of breaking news or policy reform from the BRE. As a result we have a fundamental understanding of the assessment process, are always up to date with the latest revisions, and we can help ensure you are awarded the BREEAM credits you need.

With our years of consultancy experience we are pleased to offer a full SUDS drainage design and advice service. Essential for many planning applications, a SUDS drainage report or design will be undertaken by our in-house drainage experts, referring to the latest policies and ensuring compliant solutions to all SUDS drainage situations. Furthermore, we are also able to undertake the complex calculations to generate the water run-off rates for surface water drainage and discharge purposes.

With the requirements for compliant Flood Risk Assessments (FRA’s) now set out in the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), our expert team are also able to offer advice and guidance on all the changes, how these affect your project and what this means for you.
