Frankham Consultancy Group supported in the completion of their assessment of SSL and BCV Depot buildings.
A total of 400 buildings in nine depots were competed by Frankham Consultancy Group across a five month programme in both 2009 and 2015. The assets included railway stabling and maintenance sheds, office accommodation and a wide variety of equipment, stores and control buildings, P-Way buildings and other depots support buildings.
The purpose of the exercises was to establish whether the assets met the requirements of London Underground Engineering Standards The reports were required to identify the acceptable minimum standard for the buildings and account for safety, performance, functionality and deterioration in the condition of those assets. Our reports included comment on the condition of the building fabric, the repairs and remedial works required and an assessment of costs for those works.
Our duties included locating the buildings, the management of the inspection process, and the organisation of track possessions. Frankham also adopted a prescribed London Underground reporting format and adapt this into our own QMS systems. A core team of six surveyors all appropriately qualified to London Underground rail and depot safety and equipment protection standards completed the inspection and report delivery process on time and in budget.
