A two storey maisonette was badly damaged due to an accidental fire within the property. This damage completely stripped all internal elements within the dwelling. Frankham undertook a detailed survey of the flat, including a structural assessment of the damage caused.
During this project we replaced the staircase, structural floor joists, internal stud walls and the rear elevation wall and windows. We also replaced the bathroom/cloak room to the property and re-designed and replaced the kitchen to create a more efficient use of space.
All internal elements were renewed with plastered walls and ceiling and all decorations completed to the resident’s taste.
Further external renewal work to the tiled rear elevation was required to the adjoining properties. Minor structural work was also required to the neighbouring property as the timber joist to the rear wall had been affected by the fire.
A fully detailed specification of the refurbishment works was prepared and tendered through Haringey’s approved contractor framework, with post contract and contract administration duties provided until completion.
The project was very successful and came within budget and within the allocated timescales.
