On Yer Bike! Tim’s Charity Bike Ride
The Trustees of Dennis Wise & Frankham Group Charitable Trust would like to say a big thank you to Tim Peters who completed the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on Sunday 11th September. All proceeds raised will help the many worthy causes that Dennis Wise & Frankham Group support.
Tim’s sponsorship page is still open on the link below and all donations are very welcome.
Tim said, “On September 11th 2016, along with many others, I cycled from London to Brighton.
Even after all those years growing up in Brighton, I never got round to cycling this famous route, though many years ago, I did manage to cycle up Ditchling Beacon on a BMX!”
“It was hard work, but I managed the ride in about four hours, maintaining an average speed of 13.5 mph. The worst bit was obviously Ditchling Beacon. I did walk the last 30 metres to the top. The weather was fantastic; it was well organised, the food was good, as was the pub food afterwards. I was really impressed with the number of people who entered, all with different fitness levels. It was a great event to be part of, and I would recommend it. I am now looking for another challenge; probably the Gravel Grinder in December (XC /off road).”
“I am raising money for the Dennis Wise and Frankham Group Charitable Trust, which provides financial support for children and young people, with disabilities. I have the great pleasure of working with Steve Frankham, and have seen first-hand the amazing work the trust does. Furthermore, the trust has made a pledge to provide 100 minibuses to local charities and schools, and has just ordered it’s 10th for St Catherine’s school on the Isle of Wight.”
“Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
