Fantastic achievement for Adam Hunt!

1st December 2020

Frankham Risk Management Services are delighted to announce Adam Hunt has successfully completed his Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA). The British Occupational Hygiene Society confirmed the good news late yesterday!

The CoCA replaces the previous qualification known as the #CCP (Certified Competent Person) but is the same thing in reality.

Mark Chandler, Head of Safety and Compliance Services at Frankham Risk Management Services commented:

“This is a fantastic achievement for Adam and one that will stay with him for the duration of his career! Obtaining this prestigious qualification – the highest accolade in the asbestos industry – has meant Adam has demonstrated a deep understanding of asbestos risk management and has been robustly tested on this by the panel of experts at the BOHS.”

The CoCA follows on from Adam’s successful completion of the appropriate Proficiency Modules (P Modules) in addition to his professional experience. Attaining CoCA status means Adam is now entitled to use the postnominals ‘CoC Asbestos’ after his name.

The CoCA is a Level 5 qualification in the BOHS Qualifications Framework, equivalent to NVQ Level 5, which is also equivalent to a Foundation Degree.

Congratulations, Adam, a fantastic achievement of which you should be immensely proud.
