Careers Speed Networking

Last week our chairman Steve Frankahm MBE attended the Careers Speed Networking event at Eltham Hill School.

Eltham Hill is a girl’s comprehensive school with a mixed sixth form. They held the careers event prior to students selecting their GCSE options. The idea is to have a broad range of information about careers before they make their selection and hopefully attract some of them to careers in our industry. What better way to address the skills gap and attract a new generation to do what we do?

Careers Speed NetworkingIt is recognised by more institutions that young people in education have few opportunities to meet or hear from people in industry. Without which they formulate their careers decisions on very limited information.

During the event Steve spoke to small groups of students for between 5-10 minutes before a whistle was blown and the next group come to talk.

Steve says “As a company we are proud to be part of developing the next generation of young professionals”.
