Lindsey Dobbin

Graduate Civil Engineer

I joined Frankham in June 2013 about a week after my final exams after studying Civil Engineering at University. Since I started at Frankham I have worked on a range of products in different sectors that include building, civil, marine, rail and reactive maintenance.

Building projects at Frankham have helped me apply and develop my technical skills learnt at University, through preparing various structural calculation packages.

Civil and marine projects have exposed me to a vast range of different client requirements and goals that truly require you to think of a solution that is not necessarily obvious.

Rail and reactive maintenance projects have taught me a great deal about industry standards and regulations and why they are so important with regard to keeping everyone safe. This encapsulates the builders during the construction phase, all the way through to the public and even the demolition operatives at the end of design life.

Frankham have supported me in my time here by providing industry standard training and relevant competencies ranging from construction contracts courses to health and safety at work courses. I am also aiming to be signed off as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the ICE within the next 18 months.
