Report Writer and Administrator – Risk Management

We are currently looking for a Report Writer and Administrator with preferably 2 years experience in the work environment. Some knowledge of asbestos surveying and an interest in compliance monitoring is desirable.

Job Content

  • Compiling of reports and plans, directly in TEAMS system.
  • Admin duties, maintaining project management sheets and issuing reports.
  • Completion of Macro templates, and uploading to CoRAS system, as required.
  • Ensure that all work is in full compliance with the requirements of relevant asbestos legislation and guidelines and in accordance with any professional institutions to which FRMS is associated.
  • Supporting the risk management division through advice, feedback on survey processes and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings and correspondence on a monthly or ad-hoc basis as appropriate (probably through video link).
  • Liaising with office staff and surveyors, as required, during report writing process.
  • Other duties (e.g. data cleansing) which may be requested by Head of Asbestos. requested by Tim Peters

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Technical knowledge of the built environment is not required, however, candidates must have a keen interest in the field and an aptitude for technical disciplines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Numerate and computer literate. Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge. High level of attention to detail. High level of diligence and attainment is essential.
  • A good general education to GCSE level. Further education in a related subject is desirable.
  • Enthusiastic, and adaptable to working and developing within a small and growing team.
  • A positive working attitude with good communication skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with colleagues, clients suppliers and other partners, including Group representatives, other consultants, and contractors.
  • A flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted is important. This role could potentially develop into a wider compliance surveying opportunity within other areas such as fire risk assessment or legionella risk assessment and monitoring.
  • Willingness and ability to travel widely as part of the works. Occasional overnight stays may be needed. Applicants should be car-owners with a full clean driving licence.
