Many Local Planning Authorities require a Sustainability Statement to be submitted as part of a planning application. A Sustainability Statement is provided to highlight how a scheme will address local sustainability policy. The Sustainability Statement typically includes the following information:
- Energy efficiency of the building
- Water conservation
- Flood risk and drainage strategy
- Community impacts
- Health and Wellbeing
- Material usage
- Pollution issues
- Ecological aspects to enhance the proposed developments
- Best practice management of the site
These reports are generally tailored to address specific/local planning policies, Supplementary Planning Guidance Documentation and DPDs.
