Frankham was appointed to undertake the detailed design of three new rail overhead bridges by Network Rail at Luton Parkway Station.

The bridges were required as part of a major platform lengthening and track realignment project. The bridges were installed during an Easter closure in April 2010. The bridge required intricate detailing to ensure it could be fabricated and installed within the limited time scale available, with our practical approach and knowledge of steelwork fabrication we were able to provide practical solutions to this difficult project.

  • Steel ‘U’ frame design
  • Full 3 D Topographical survey
  • Full GRIP 5 design and close liaison with fabricator
  • Bridges installed with track and ballast in-situ
