Frankham provided Project Management Services, in a seconded “in house” capacity on a £3 million fast track, two phase scheme to remodel the Dyson Perrins Building on behalf of the School of Geography and the Environment.

The Dyson Perrins building is an important Grade II Listed building that comprises a mixture of office, administration and teaching/seminar lecture spaces for 800 students and 400 members of staff.

The scheme involved the reinvention of teaching and administration spaces. Works were carried out to comprehensively enhance the quality of the spaces and introduce state of the art AV technology into the teaching spaces.

The works were split over two phases with phase one carried out over summer recess. Phase two will be carried out over the summer of 2014. The works were procured on a two stage Design and Building Contract (JCT 2011 D&B).

The ‘In House’ project management role was commissioned by the University of Oxford Estates Services and involved the management of the project in accordance with the University of Oxford ‘Guide to Capital Building Projects’.
