Acacia Hall Redevelopment – Surveys and Redesign

Drone Survey Provides Safe Cost Effective Answers Where Access is Limited

The Acacia Hall site was purchased by Dartford Borough Council in 2005 and over the intervening years they have repaired and improved the Grade II listed mansion house, opened up parts of the wider site to the public by construction of a pedestrian/cycle link from Darenth Road to Central Park across the football fields, and a new outdoor theatre on the old bowls green has been constructed.

Acacia Hall Redevelopment – Surveys and RedesignThe Council now want to extend the facilities offered here, adding an events venue and additional parking for the town centre.

Frankham Consultancy Group has been commissioned to design these new facilities and oversee the works through feasibility, detail design and construction.

As part of these works Frankham is currently on site carrying out various surveys of the River Darenth with both drone surveys under the bridge building that straddles the river and silt depth surveys of the river bed.

One of the existing structures is built to bridge over the river. By using a drone to fly into this confined space and record HD video, our Engineers have been provided with invaluable insights into the construction of the structure, its current condition and the services that are present there.
